Introduction of the Reliability Engineering Professional Committee of Chinese Society of Aeronautics

     The reliability engineering professional committee of Chinese Society of Aeronautics is a registered secondary academy of Chinese Society of Aeronautics under Ministry of Civil Affairs of the people’s republic of China founded in 1987. It aims at obeying the laws and implementing the national guiding principles on science and technology, and meanwhile it unites, serves and organizes the numerous reliability engineering professionals. More importantly, it has being promoting the country's reliability engineering of aeronautics and astronautics and playing an significant social role in training groups of professionals in this area, as well as being a home for the specialists.

     Our main responsibility is as follows:
   1. providing services to country-wide technical staffs of reliability engineering in aeronautics and astronautics and holding regular activities for academic communication;
    2. giving assistance in publishing periodicals and popularizing as well as propagating acknowledges on reliability engineering;
     3. counseling technique and organizing training to corresponding unities;
     4. nurturing and recommending excellent talent, and etc..

    By two-way options, the professional committee has been anchored in the Reliability Engineering Institute of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

    We have being founding a working committee for four times, and the coming honorary directors of the fourth committee will be the former director of the Scientific and Technical committee in China National Aviation Corporation, Mr. Ang Wang, and Professor Jingtang Jiao from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The chief director will be Mr. Zili Wang who is the director of the reliability engineering institute in Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Moreover, 20 members from aviation, aerospace, air force, army aviation, etc., will also direct the daily work.

   Since the foundation of this professional committee, we have successfully hosted 10 domestic academic annual symposiums, which have been widely impacted on the China's reliability engineering technology.

    We profoundly know that there is still a long way to go and need to continuously forge ahead in order to devote every effort to promote the development of reliability engineering of Chinese aeronautics and astronautics.
